Game 7: Red Sox 7 - Tigers 0

Game 7 found us in a gem ... Fenway Park ... home of the Boston Red Sox since 1912. This makes Fenway the oldest of all 30 of the MLB parks.

However, before I get to the highlight, lets get you all caught up.

We began this very cloudy, cold (48 deg.), drizzly day (horrible for baseball) in Portland, ME. We made our way late morning, South, toward Boston and decided to stop water-side in Kennebunkport, ME for some more seafood/chow-dah.

Beth found this amazing spot (The Ramp).

With this view.

And, inside I found these fond reminders of home.

But, this was also a sports bar ...

The food was fabulous as well.

Fortified, we headed to Fenway ... in the rain.

Arriving early, we visited a couple of neighborhood pubs, the Bleacher Bar, located in the left field of the park and Citizen Public House, where we pasted the rainy afternoon with a game at the bar.

We were so excited for the game. The rain cleared about 30 minutes before first pitch. Combined with our amazing gift from our dear friends Neil and Kate Pitchel (both Boston natives) of box seats for the game, we couldn't help but feel that all was bouncing our (the Red Sox) way.

In the end, all you really need to know ...

Off to Toronto ... some of these early parks will be tough to top!
