Catching Up ... Catching Games (Bonus Game 10+: Brewers 1 - Cubs 0)

Our Wednesday morning began with a delightful breakfast with our dear friends, Rich and Carol. They reside in Kenosha and it was marvelous to catch up. In addition to breakfast, we were able to visit their lovely home, meet their puppies (always a highlight) and visit Mark (son) & Michelle's (daughter-in-law) church. Mark is the Pastor (which means Michelle has the real, tough job).

Because the Cubs were in town, we availed ourselves of a bonus, afternoon game. The roof was open, the seats were in shade and it was a beautiful afternoon. Beautiful that is until the Brewers managed a second shut-out in a row. We now know that we are not the Cubs good luck charms. Regardless, any day of baseball is a good day.

After the game we joined our long-time friend, Pam, for pizza down at the river walk. Pam recently relocated from Phoenix to Wisconsin and it was a great opportunity to catch up. We had a nice time sunning on the patio, munching and gabbing. So happy that she is doing well with the transition and hope to connect again soon.

Having overnighted in Southwest Chicago, this afternoon we are off to see the White Sox. Looks like another beautiful day for baseball!
